Booze Dreams do Come True: Touring Southeast Asia

Image
Tour dates: September 19 2014 to October 3, 2014 D iscovering other places is a privilege that many of us have. It may come in different times and different adventures. The world was created for discovery, not exploitation. So, I took that chance and packed my bags. However, to make it seem a little anti-climatic, packing my bags wasn’t that easy. It had to require precision and a lot of thinking because traveling and leaving two kids and one niece behind can be appalling. But the good news is, life has given me the chance ( and I grabbed it of course) to travel around some of the best places in Asia with a few (only six of them) of my closest friends. (This was us from way back when we were in college. left to right - Albhing, hazlot, Tweety, Melai ) I t was in our university years when my friends (Tweety, Melai, Dino, Tanzy, Albhing, and Garlly) decided that we had to go around the world someday and begin our lifelong tour in our beloved Southeast Asia. Travel date: May 12, 2014 Living in the Philippines is like living in paradise. Most of us just don’t know it. Our country has over 7,107 islands and you should have at least visited a few of it and explored its beauty.   There are so many majestic waterfalls, river, lakes, caves, and many other types of scenery worth exploring. One of the many amazing places I have visited is Tinuy-an Falls in Bislig City, Surigao Del Sur. I have never heard of it before but I heard about it from my aunt while I was visiting her in Cabadbaran, Agusan del Norte. It was not part of our itinerary but since we were already in the area we did not hesitate to go there. Me and my friend Tweety decided to commute going there but thankfully my aunt and uncle offered to drive us there. So, we drove from Cabadbaran City all the way to Bislig for around three hours. Our trip there was an adventure in itself because we took the uphill road. We left Cabadbaran at exactly 5:00 am. The mountain...

Travel Date: June 15, 2014 “Canyoneering - is traveling in canyons using avariety of techniques that may include other outdooractivities such as walking , scrambling , climbing , jumping , abseiling ( rapelling ), and/or swimming .” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canyoning One of the greatest realities that everyone has to face is that life has to be an adventure otherwise it would not be life at all. Experiencing the beauty of life entails embracing everything around you and not forgetting nature. Yesterday,15th of June 2014, me, my aunt and friends went on a adventure of a lifetime.  Urban folks as we are, we explored nature like we never did before. We went canyoneering at Badian , Cebu .What we basically did was trek, jump, swim, climb boulders, swim, jump, jump, jump. We did this for 6 short hours. None of us have tried it before and none of us are trekkers, climbers, or expert swimmers. Anyone who is not afraid to jump heights, swim i...
